Ubuntu in Virtualbox in Windows 7

I spent a few hours trying to install Ubuntu in virtualbox within my Windows 7 machine. I could not get the Ubuntu cd installer to work. I finally determined that one can install it instead using just the cd's .iso file by point virtualbox to the iso file as another "drive." It seems to be working now. Next..try and get sftp working and accessible on the virtual machine.
