Capturing video using Hauppauge 950q from command line

The total solution:


1) Install the wintv program that came with the card

2) In here is a commandline capture program:

C:\Program Files\WinTV\WinTV7


3) Run from commandline:


wintv7rec –limit:6000 –c:0 –prefix “someprefix”

Let it run….when you want a snapshot, just kill the process – file stays intact

Run this to convert from .ts to mpeg2
